Harmen van der Tuin is an autonomous visual artist, designer, and composer, internationally recognized with work presented in galleries and at art fairs around the world. Over the past fifteen years, he has focused on the essence of form, surface, color, and material, inspired by minimalism and abstract expressionism. He left all recognizable subjects behind and developed a sensual yet rigorous visual language.

Spontaneous gestures, thick layers of material, and an intense play of light and shadow characterize his work. Monumental and tactile, his works explore form, matter, structure, and light, dissolving the boundary between painting and sculpture entirely. The energy of the creative process is palpable: the movement of creation becomes the painting itself. The result is a powerful, sensory experience that quiets the viewer, opens them up, and places them fully in the present moment.
