Patrick Rubinstein’s trompe-l’œil plays with perspective and questions our perception of reality. The artist explores optical illusion, sowing confusion and blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion. He skilfully blends two concepts – the art of trompe l’oeil and kineticism – in his singular artworks

Patrick Rubinstein's source of inspiration is diverse and crosses contemporary art, pop art and street art.

The artist sculpts and refines his works of art like a goldsmith. With this, the viewer presents a fusion of two images designed to merge into one.

Several other images, revealed by the interweaving of the two views, become visible as the viewer moves through the artwork.
The result of these two techniques gives dynamism, giving the works of art an animated and constantly renewed aspect.
